Terra Green began quite accidentally back in the spring of 2001. The original owners Kevin & Lynnette Mackenzie began treating Lynnette’s parent’s lawn through Kevin’s parents lawn care company (Nutri-Lawn) based in Kelowna. Soon friends & neighbours were asking to have their lawns treated as well. During the 2006 season the company was awarded the maintenance contract to 4 Fortis BC properties in the Castlegar & Warfield areas. The addition of these properties combined with the continual rapid growth of the customer base due to in most part through countless customer referrals was becoming more difficult to manage through our Kelowna office. So in 2007 we separated the customer database list and Terra Green Lawn Care was created.
Since the spring of 2007, Kevin & Lynnette have managed the office & administration end of the business from their home in West Kelowna, while continuing to service the growing client list from Thrums to Montrose, mostly on a part-time basis a few days per week. Terra Green Lawn Care has now grown to the point where it needed the introduction of a full-time, dedicated, local representative. Enter Jeff & Marla Papilion who have lived in Trail the past three years with their family. The Papilion’s have purchased Terra-Green Lawn Care Ltd. From the Mackenzie Family and have entered into a partnership to work together over the next few years to guarantee a seamless and professional transition and the continued excellence in lawn care and customer service the area has become accustomed to. The Papilion’s come on board with strong business back grounds. Jeff being a member of the Canadian Professional Golfers Association for 20 plus years managing golf course facilities, all the while working together with club superintendants, Jeff has acquired a back ground in turf care programs. Marla as well has spent years managing customer service areas, with a major Canadian home improvement company and excels in communication and customer relations. Together the Papilion & MacKenzie families form THE West Kootenays most knowledgeable and Natural lawn care company. We look forward to working with Kevin and Lynnette over the next few years to continue the excellent service and provide our customers with superior products from Terra-Green Lawn Care Ltd.
